Police: Leesburg man threatened store proprietor with knife – Information – Each day Business


FRUITLAND PARK –  A dispute between a boutique proprietor and a girl turned violent on Friday when the girl’s son allegedly pulled a knife on the boutique proprietor, police mentioned.

Based on an arrest report, Nathaniel McCallum, 19, was coming into the shop at 107 West Berckman Avenue carrying a backpack when the boutique proprietor instructed him there was nothing within the retailer for somebody his age and requested him to attend outdoors whereas she assisted one other buyer.

McCallum reportedly left and instructed him mom, who returned to the shop and had phrases with the store proprietor. Sooner or later, McCallum pulled a knife from his pocket and requested the store proprietor “if she wished to die at present,” the report acknowledged.

Fruitland Park Police discovered McCallum on a public bus close by and arrested him. McCallum denied having a knife however mentioned he he was was defending his mom on the retailer and “blacked out.”

Officers discovered a lock-blade knife in McCallum’s backpack.

He was charged with aggravated assault with a lethal weapon.
